The culture in our Malay society usually revolve within the series of these questions:
If the lady is single,
"Bila nak cari bf? Takkan takde kot?"
If the lady has a bf or bfs,
"Haa..tu dah ada tu. Bila nak kahwin? kesian mak mapak hang dah tua."
If the lady is married with no kids,
" Ha ni, nak tunggu apa pulak? Bila lagi nak dapat baby?"
If the lady has A baby/child,
"Aik, sorang je ke? Bila nak tambah lagi?"
Well, it goes on and on....
Recently, during my mom's kenduri,
My aunties (more than 1) started asking,
"Belum ada orang baru lagi ke? Bila lagi?"
I thought once you've gone through all the above, that's it.Period.
I guess I'm totally wrong.

ergh..tell me abt it. menyeksa hidup aku jugak sampai malas nak pegi wedding ke kenduri keluarga ke..setakat tanya bila nak kawin tu aku boleh handle lg..tapi kalau "takde calon lg ke..nanti uncle cari..uncle ada kawan duda anak dua.." rasa nak terpacak je tocang aku (if i have anylah). takde insurance langsung mulut tu. but u know, me being nice and all, will just smile and walk away.

kekadang nak je i jawab 'I'm done with men..I'm into women now'. Biar terbeliak sikit biji mata yang tukang tanya!
hik hik.. tat's why I feel so malas to balik raya this year. i'm sure everybody will bombard me with soalan2 cepumas as well. nachos, ok per duda anak dua.. I'll take him anytime... if ada $$$ and looks like gary sinise.. hehahhhahah

Eh, how come no uncles or aunties ever offer their daughter/friends/janda anak dua to me?

hazyr- I totally agree with you. Can we joke and answer that? but so far with my auties, I jawab, 'sapelah nak kat kite" and with my cousins I said, "banyak sangat, tak tau nak pilih yg mana satu pulak".
jazz- jom kite raya sama2 kat sini.aku memang sah tak balik tganu. If they don't need me to work, maybe I'll drive to somewhere, away.
leymah - if soalan tu utk anak dara, takpe...ni I yg dah went around one cycle pun siap kena lagi.Adus!

min & spena, kalau serious nak aku "consider" - caution : not to be taken as agreement or acceptance by me to have it a go in any ways whatsoever ok - takyahla tanya kan..buat malu aku je depan public (no. of population masa tu dah qualify as public even only families are around). kalau sincere, kau ajakle datang rumah masa raya ke makan-makan ke time aku ada and buatla apa yang patut (kih kih kih). This advise is addressed to my uncle ok..heh heh.
Nanti kan, when yr kids have grown up, those makciks will start asking, "bila nak menantu pulak Bedah oiiiii! Dah bujang dah anak kau tu." Masyarakat yang sangat nosy.... puhleeeeeease lah.
