Island trip, friends, job, blog - That's a handful!

I've just finished packing. I don't need to bring lots of things but the problem with me, if I don't plan well, I would be bring half my wardrobe for only a weekend outing :-)

Will be leaving for Mersing midnight tonight, plan to eat sahur in Kluang and then take the 6.30am boat to Tioman. YES!! I'm going to the island again this weekend with Mr&Mrs Seademon and also Rina.

For me, this year's Ramadhan is a HUGE change than last year's. (so far lah up till today). I was not given a chance to be alone at all. Maybe for the 1st 2, 3 days. But after that, takde chance lansung. My boss, Fa*hana, just refused to let me go and buka puasa at home alone. Especially when I told her that twice last week, upon driving back home for buka puasa, I dozed off while driving! So from the next day onwards, she insisted that I buka puasa with her either in the office or at a nearby restaurant before allowing me to go back.
And the lovely Ayah & Ibu- SD& Jazz kept inviting for buka puasa sessions.

I guess Habibi is also happy and thankful that I don't feel lonely and sad. He's thankful to my friends for keeping me company . 34 more days to his return. I can't wait.

Meanwhile, my life at AA is getting busier each day. Other than being part of the Program Development team, my boss has also enrolled me into a "Ha*vard" certification program for Trainers which will take about 2 months to complete and it will start in the next 1 or 2 weeks time. It is an online program - knowing myself, I'm going to have a tough time completing it!

I also need to write and contribute to AirAsia's blog. (hehehe...haven't submitted anything yet). Oh, btw, I was going thru Tony's blog and found out that his next project is the Asean Basketball League! I am soooo excited!!

I guess there's a lot more for me in store. It is true - its not easy to stay positive but once you manage, one by one , things will fall in place, Insya Allah. I cold just pray that Allah gives me the strength to do all the things I love and enjoy. Amin.

A night in Sepang

Venue: Pan Pac KLIA and KLI Airport, Sepang
Time: 7pm-11pm

Had a buka puasa session with my boss and my partner in crime. Why there of all places in Sepang? Well, my boss was craving to have the buffet spread while for me dates and a cup of hot milo is more than enough. And she was definitely shocked to find out the price. It was RM90 per pax!! Is just ridiculous! With RM90 I could buy lots of things with it!! No way jose.Especially when I can't eat at all:-(

So, we decided buffet for her and ala-carte for us.Hehehe...

We adjourned the session to the couch afterwards....

And after that, I walked to KLIA to send my sist in-law and Khadijah off. They were returning to the UK.

Bye Khadijah. The next time is see you, you will be a big girl by then.

My version of a perfect trip

It was a trip well planned by Seademon. At first, it didn't occur to me as a crazy one because based on his plan, the whole group are supposed to go to Tioman either Wednesday night or Thursday night.

But as for me, I could only leave on Friday night. Left my car at Jazz's, got her brother to send me to the LRT station, took the LRT to Central Market and walked from there to Puduraya. (sounds familiar....) And when I arrived in Mersing at about 5am, then only I realised this was something that I hadn't done before. Travelling to a place which I am not familiar with.

And I was alone. Upon arrival at Mersing, lepak at the coffee shop in town near the roundabout, and settled for their so called famous nasi lemak ayam. Taklah sedap mana pun. At about 6am, I walked to the jetty. It was a different feeling. Others walked in groups, or a minimum of 2 persons, but I was alone. It is definitely true what people always say, the journey that matters most. How you would treasure it. The destination? It is always great ; especially when you know that your friends are there, waiting for us.

I was lucky as the ferry left much earlier than the scheduled 7.30am. I managed to arrive at Salang at about 8ish and joined Seademon for my 1st dive. Alhamdulillah.

And the dives - were awesome. No words could describe it. Totally a different view from Redang. At 26m onwards, the visibility was really good and there are still nice things to look at. The night dive was also great - managed to see a 'sleeping' eel and puffer fish.

What I've learned from this trip:

1. Even if I only have Saturday and Sunday off, I could manage to squeeze in for dives on the weekend. I've done it once, I can do it again.Definitely.

2. Got to learn how to control my breathing as I still have problems going down, at times.

3. Don't get panic. Settle one thing at a time. It was an experience being 'rescued' by a DM ;-)

4. To check my own things, on my own. Not to trust another person as he/she might overlook on it.

5. My close friends are my family. After 20++ years, this is a perfect family trip to an island. With ayah, ibu, adik beradik , what else can I ask for.

This was definitely a trip I've never dreamt of before.

And now, deep inside me, I know I am finally flying without wings. Alhamdulillah....

Thank god the mother knows how to use FB now......hehehe( jgn marah yek....) She put up the latest pics of her kids. I miss both of them. To meet them again, it might only be on their next holidays next year, Insya Allah. (except if somebody wants to sponsor my ticket there earlier...hint...hint)

So, here are Khadijah's and Ammar's pics yg dah dikidnap from my sist in-law's FB page:

Soooooo cuteeeeee.....
Geramnya!! Tak boleh tahan!

And here is Ammar, looking so handsome. Miss kissing your chubby cheek Ammar!!!

Aren't they adorable?

What I've been up to for the past few days

1) Preparing my new home. Busy moving, unpacking and arranging. At the moment, only the living room is complete and I have totally moved in!

2) Bringing the kids to Ches*ire Home in Selayang. It is part of their learning process. I just love the look on the residents there when they see us - we are like family to them :-)

3) On Sunday, my family organised a 'kenduri and makan2' session for my cousins who just got married 2 months ago. With all the good food and company, not mentioning my aunties who kept asking me what do I want to eat and they will cook it, there goes my diet program (perasan macam ada ). We had satay, otak-otak, ayam berempah, kerabu sare and bakso.

4) And today, when I arrived at office in the morning, the consultant I'm working with, who is also a LEO, wears the exact same thing like me: a white shirt and blue jeans. What a coincidence ;-)

Kau Ilhamku

How tired and exhausted I was after work today, I still made an effort to meet this special person.I picked him up and we went for dinner/supper at Dorai.

This gentleman was the person who cheered me up and who gave me advise and strength when I needed one.
He's my Sushi Guru.

And as per what I've written here on June 15th last year ;
"Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a SEASON .

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a reason, a season or are a lifetime."

It feels so awkward to meet you again after 3 years. All these while when we talked on the phone, everything feels the same. But after meeting you tonight, I know it's not the same anymore.

What ever it is, you know where to find me and I hope you will be there when I need you.

Take care my dear friend.

We had LOADs of fun!!!

You know why the 3 of us are sooooo happy in this pic?

Coz we went to the Singapore Zoo!!! Well actually it was Ammar's trip as promised by his Mak Long. I get to tumpang semangkuk!
Even the tickets look attractive. The service - it was excellent through out Zoo. Maybe I should try to apply for a job there.

I love the penguins - they are very fast swimmers indeed. Ammar was shouting "Happy Feet"

This guy looks familiar. Hehehe.....

They also 'kidnapped' this from a village in Sabah. It's not really easy if you want to see this one along the Sukau river because they are shy but here - the actually posed for you.

For the past 3 days in Singapore - we went to about 6 shopping complexes and the zoo. Yesterday itself we spent 12hours outdoors. When return, everybody was totally exhausted! Today, we left Singapore with great memories and now I'm back in my crib with Actifed and Panadol trying to get rid of this 'running nose' and feverish feeling.

I got interviews to attend tomorrow and Tuesday - I cannot fall sick! And I really, really look forward to this Tuesday. Something big is happening. Something that only happens twice a year.

All girls road trip to South......well, almost

We left this morning at about 10 from Taman Tun. Me, my sist in-law and her sister, my niece and my nephew; left KL for JB.

Stopped by for a while at R&R Pagoh for a break.
Ammar and his special pose. I kind of like the new look of the R&R. Really nice. More comfy chairs.
Me holding Khadija for a while . She slept the whole way and was forced to wake up during our 'break'
Later, we had dinner in JB at ...where else, the famous Tip Top Ikan Bakar. All because of me....hehehe..... But they really enjoyed it.
And now I'm updating it from my bro in-law's parents place with the help of my new cool toy. Yes...I've registered the Celcom + Streamyx package. So far so good. Let's see how the service is.

Got to go to sleep now. Tomorrow morning, after breakfast, we are leaving to Singapore for more food and jalan-jalan cuci mata.

Good nite y'all ;-)

What I've been up to lately...

What have I been doing for the past 1 week other than sleep, eat, watching TV and attending interviews?

Had a makan2 session with old but look young friends on Saturday night. Oja, Lerque and me : we booked the seats at the dining table thru out the night....hehehe

Dalie, Rina and our guest of honor, Nik came all the way from Scotland. We had this special session for her as some of us have not me her since after SPM!

Lots of food....from laksa, to pulut kuning and rendang, satay, rojak, sotong kangkung and also not forgetting our official dessert - the konyaku jelly (is the spelling right?)

We also had a tudung modelling session. Who else if its not Jazz - the model. This new tudung is special - you could use it during winter too as a snow cap!!

Then yesterday, brought the kids to Tasik Shah Alam. Ammar called it as 'playground' whilst Dhiya says "Maman" for 'taman...hehehe... I think the last time I came here was about 10 years ago. (Actually its just a walking distance from mom's house)

Ammar and his cheeky smile. He's going back to the UK next week. I'm going to miss his smile and his 'kissing game' ;-)

Dhiya was left with 'Mak Long'.....hehehe...that's it lah.

I've got to go down to JB for coaching this weekend. Trying to coax my sist in-law to go down with me and we could jalan2 to Singapore. Let's see how things go.
