We had LOADs of fun!!!

You know why the 3 of us are sooooo happy in this pic?

Coz we went to the Singapore Zoo!!! Well actually it was Ammar's trip as promised by his Mak Long. I get to tumpang semangkuk!
Even the tickets look attractive. The service - it was excellent through out Zoo. Maybe I should try to apply for a job there.

I love the penguins - they are very fast swimmers indeed. Ammar was shouting "Happy Feet"

This guy looks familiar. Hehehe.....

They also 'kidnapped' this from a village in Sabah. It's not really easy if you want to see this one along the Sukau river because they are shy but here - the actually posed for you.

For the past 3 days in Singapore - we went to about 6 shopping complexes and the zoo. Yesterday itself we spent 12hours outdoors. When return, everybody was totally exhausted! Today, we left Singapore with great memories and now I'm back in my crib with Actifed and Panadol trying to get rid of this 'running nose' and feverish feeling.

I got interviews to attend tomorrow and Tuesday - I cannot fall sick! And I really, really look forward to this Tuesday. Something big is happening. Something that only happens twice a year.

All girls road trip to South......well, almost

We left this morning at about 10 from Taman Tun. Me, my sist in-law and her sister, my niece and my nephew; left KL for JB.

Stopped by for a while at R&R Pagoh for a break.
Ammar and his special pose. I kind of like the new look of the R&R. Really nice. More comfy chairs.
Me holding Khadija for a while . She slept the whole way and was forced to wake up during our 'break'
Later, we had dinner in JB at ...where else, the famous Tip Top Ikan Bakar. All because of me....hehehe..... But they really enjoyed it.
And now I'm updating it from my bro in-law's parents place with the help of my new cool toy. Yes...I've registered the Celcom + Streamyx package. So far so good. Let's see how the service is.

Got to go to sleep now. Tomorrow morning, after breakfast, we are leaving to Singapore for more food and jalan-jalan cuci mata.

Good nite y'all ;-)

What I've been up to lately...

What have I been doing for the past 1 week other than sleep, eat, watching TV and attending interviews?

Had a makan2 session with old but look young friends on Saturday night. Oja, Lerque and me : we booked the seats at the dining table thru out the night....hehehe

Dalie, Rina and our guest of honor, Nik came all the way from Scotland. We had this special session for her as some of us have not me her since after SPM!

Lots of food....from laksa, to pulut kuning and rendang, satay, rojak, sotong kangkung and also not forgetting our official dessert - the konyaku jelly (is the spelling right?)

We also had a tudung modelling session. Who else if its not Jazz - the model. This new tudung is special - you could use it during winter too as a snow cap!!

Then yesterday, brought the kids to Tasik Shah Alam. Ammar called it as 'playground' whilst Dhiya says "Maman" for 'taman...hehehe... I think the last time I came here was about 10 years ago. (Actually its just a walking distance from mom's house)

Ammar and his cheeky smile. He's going back to the UK next week. I'm going to miss his smile and his 'kissing game' ;-)

Dhiya was left with 'Mak Long'.....hehehe...that's it lah.

I've got to go down to JB for coaching this weekend. Trying to coax my sist in-law to go down with me and we could jalan2 to Singapore. Let's see how things go.

A short but wonderful trip

Due to work commitment (with previous company) , I had not gone back to Besut for the past 1 year. Hmm.. the last trip was in April 2007. Since I've got some 'free' time before I start going for interviews, I decided to take a short trip back.

Left at 5am on Tuesday, the highway was clear- just the way I like it. Arrived at the Gambang R&R at about 8am and took a short nap. Then continued my way on - the LPT was clear and misty too. I love driving when there are very less cars on the road.

By 9.30am I was in Kijal. Decided to stop at Awana for a while, enjoying the sea breeze. Continued my journey after 1/2 hour. Then as usual, dropped by at my favorite 'gerai' at Rhu Sepuluh for lunch break and more fresh sea breeze . I love the place so much. It just takes all my problems away.I wish Habibi was there with me too.

I reached my grandma's place at about 1.30pm. And there goes my diet. Who could resists all the good food - nasi dagang, nasi berlauk, sup kaki, baulu panas, bubur lambuk lemak, tapai goreng, the list goes on until I left this morning.

Even managed to go to K.Besut for a while. Just to enjoy the scenery.

And yes as usual, before I left Kg.Raja, we (joined by mom) dropped by at my auntie's place who owns a traditional 'kedai kopi'. Yup, the one that 'orang kampung' likes to lepak before and after their hardwork.

How I miss going back to my hometown. Maybe there is a blessing in disguise after what had happened.

Monday, March 10

Shocked? It will make us stronger.

When I am still in shock from what had happened to me on Friday, the nation is shocked from the latest election results. Well, maybe not everybody.

It feels so weird driving from home (in Selangor) to Jazz's house (KL) which now 'belongs' to another 'party'.Even though physically, there's no difference.

Let us all say that there is a blessing in disguise.
Just think about that.
There is a reason why things happened in such a way.

Its a brand new day tomorrow.
For me and for a lot of others out there.
Bring it on, baby, I am ready for it.

For now, I'm watching HAIRSPRAY.

The Last Supper

How can I be twice unlucky?
How can this be?
This is the 2nd time I've been 'released' from the place I worked.

The 1st time was really bad. Especially with the 'after effects' and this time round it definitely scares me.
I could just hope this is a blessing in disguise. I keep telling myself Insya Allah ada hikmahnya.
It wasn't easy to face it the 1st time, its worst when you have to go thru the 2nd time.

Habibi keeps saying that everything is going to be ok.
He said this time its different. This time, he's around.

Now, I just have to stay focus and try hard to think positive.

For now, I'm sad coz I know I'm going to miss the great guys I've been working with.

Praba and one of his 'pose maut'...

Me being persuaded to go for my last drinks session with the team.

These are part of the great team. They were all as shocked as I am.

Last pose - It looks more like a celebration that I'm gone though...;-)

Friday, March 7

History repeats itself

Today, Friday 7th March 2008, at about 10.30pm, a bad thing happened to me.
It might also be a blessing in disguise. I don't know.
I just have to wait and see.
But it really hurt me. Very much indeed.
Never before have I felt this way, treated this way by my previous's.

Like I've always said, money is not everything.
But when you compare me with a non-performer and someone who has problems in tardiness,
That is TOO MUCH.

Sorry to say, I believe you have made a BIG MISTAKE.
What makes me sad is I've performed, I've done more than others and I have to leave my 'brothers and sisters' behind.
But I will definitely be doing better than before, after this.

Trust me. I'll make you regret.

And no, you don't know me at all.

Hari ini dalam sejarah

After driving 150km/hr few days ago at on the highway to LCCT, after exceeding the normal speed limit on the Federal Highway, after driving confidently back every night from work at 1 or 2am for the past 2 months, I just noticed last night that my driving license had expired on 15th January 2008.

*************************************

I've brought back Jakarta's fever and flu - suddenly with no warnings, yesterday I started to have very bad running nose and sore throat. And last night my colleagues were laughing at me as I had to blow my nose every few minutes.

And today, waking up with additional stiff neck, the doc gave me a medical leave. Don't even have the energy to and sign my lawyer papers. Dang!

*************************************
I opened up my luggage ( which I just bought in Jakarta) at mom's place 2 nights ago and she said, " This was all you bought? All the way from there?"

Hehehe...the luggage was full with instant noodles. All kinds.

*************************************

Today is the 4th of March. 3 more weeks , and I will get to see Habibi, Insya Allah.
I cant' wait. Without realising its already almost 6 months and time flies really fast.

*************************************

I have not decided which party to vote for. Seriously. My mom said, if you are a government servant or if you plan to get a loan or help in the future from the govt, you have to think carefully before voting. As it might not be that easy to get approval anymore.

Hmm....I don't even get anyting easily before this. Is there a difference?
I have 4 more days to think.

*************************************

Jakarta dah.
Bangkok belum lagi.
AA! Cepatlah give free tickets lagi!!! I can't wait to grab one.

Jakarta - 'picstory' of my excellent trip

Still trying to calm down and thinking it was a miracle that I made it to arrive on time at LCCT.
Since I didn't have any breakfast; and with a lot of energy used to run while carrying the heavy bag, I had to get some food and drink. I started to spend thousands on the flight itself ;-)
Alhamdulillah, I made it. Yes!!
Rat1h picked me up , and this was my lunch. It was really delicious. Sop buntut goreng anyone?

And this is an excellent drink. It was just a normal tea, but it tastes so good. I wonder why...

I was brought to Mangga Dua for some shopping the moment I touched down until about 7pm. I took this shot as we were about to leave the area. And from there to reach Rat1h's house, we were caught in a really bad traffic for 3.5 hours! Dang! I could reach JB from KL with that time.

The next day she and her sister, Anna, brought me to the TMII - Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. The houses built are supposed to be from different areas / culture from the whole of Indonesia.

With Anna at one of the houses in there.

Here, we were at 'Bali'. My hands were so stiff that I could not even put up the correct 'pose' of the balinese dance...hahaha....

We then went into the Bugs Muzium in the same area. The gentleman who explained to us was really nice - he took out the 'belalang daun' (leaf grasshopper??) and showed us. It was a live one. It looked exactly like a leaf .

That night, Anna organised her birthday party at Bandar Djakarta , a huge seafood restaurant in Ancol. It was great. There were about 12 of us, and the food, yes the food was really, really good. The next day, 3 of us went for SPA - just imagine the treatment which includes massage, scrub, masker, steam and 'berendam' only costs 75,000 RP(equivalent to RM25). That was my first experience going for Spa. I think they were having fun listening to me screaming 'ouch' all the time during the massage.

This is Rat1h's place where I stayed for 2 nights. She was really, really nice. She was worried that it was too small for me actually compare to our houses here in Msia. The best part of staying here, every 1 hour or so, there will be people pushing carts selling things passing by the house. Without even leaving the house, we can get things from vege even to nasi goreng, satay and other food stuffs. Wow! That was just perfect for me!

And my trip to Jakarta ended on Sunday afternoon. It was a really short trip and I wish I would have been there longer. It was great as I didn't really go as a tourist but treated like a family member. I'm going to miss Rat1h and Anna and next time, I promise that I would be going to their hometown which is Yogyakarta.

Hmm...Better watch out closely at AA next cheapsale....

Jakarta - The first 4 hours

At last, the day that i've been waiting for months has arrived. My cheap AA trip to Jakarta. Since I'm not bringing lots of clothes, I promised to bring 15kgs of luggage for my sister's bibik(which was ready in the car since thursday ) and I just needed to pack a small bagpack for myself. Excited and after making sure everything is ok the night before; (where to leave my car, what time is the bus to LCCT from KL Sentral, bag packed, alarm set at 5am) I went to sleep.

I can't even think what would happen if anything goes wrong.I even set 2 alarm clocks just to make sure everything's ok . The next morning, when I woke up,it was bright. I looked at the time, it was 8am. Sh*t! It was 8am and my flight was at 0950am. And I'm staying in Shah Alam. Dang! In my head, there goes my long awaited trip.I was trembling knowing that I know it is impossible to make it;to arrive 45mnts before the check-in counter closes at LCCT.

I rushed and by 8.30am I was on the road. Tried calling a good friend who works in AA to hold the check in for me but she hasn't arrive for work. She was also not sure whether I could make it in time. It was all up to me. Oh god! My heart was beating really fast, my head was thinking what can be done if I can't reach there on time, what reason should I give the bibik that I couldn't make it and her family would be hoping for the items that was supposed to bring.

Without noticing, I drove 150km/hr . My faithful MyVi was overtaking every single car on the road. I didn't even care about the speed-trap; hoping that I will not get any, and if I were to get one, what is the reason to appeal.

I kept looking at my watch while driving. Upon arrival at the airport, I parked my car, picked up the bagpack which weighs 16kgs and another backpack which contains my laptop and other stuffs, and ran as fast I could to the check-in counter. When putting my bags thru the x-ray machine, the policeman asked did I just run, I couldn't even answer as I was short of breath. Just imagine carrying 2 bags almost 20kg and run!

When I gave my passport to the girl at the counter, I asked her whether I was the last one, and she said, " Tak adalah. Ada lagi 20 minit kak. Ramai lagi belum check-in". OMG! I think I only took 25 mnts to reach the airport. But alhamdulillah, I made it on time and couldn't believe that I made it .

I still couldn't believe that I made it during the whole journey of 2 hours. It was like a miracle. Until we touched down in Jakarta's International airport then only I felt relief. Then only I felt a bit better knowing that it wasn't a dream - I still managed to arrive in Jakarta despite of waking up at 8am.

And what a surprise when I was waiting for my luggage, I saw a familiar face. I went straight to him , said hello and took this picture;

It seems that he was on the same flight with me together with some other artists like Norman KRU, Ajai and Too Phat - I was too busy calming myself down and didn't notice them at all. Faizal was with the TV3 Gangstarz crew ...

And I know, my trip to Jakarta was going to worth more than driving 150km/hr and the parking charges at the LCCT car park.

p/s: I showed this picture to my mom and she said, " Did you ask him to take off his shirt?" Sabar jelah....
