The Camp is here

Today morning, right after work I'm leaving for JB for the R2V Intensive Basketball Camp. Will be taking the bus from Jalan Duta station - not the Transnasional bus, but the boys' bus which is supposed to depart KK at 6am.

I have not seen the schedule yet but from past experience, it will be full and really tiring. And I have not been playing or coaching since September - that's a long time.
Hopefully, I will get sometime to get away and meet Esty and maybe just write something on my blog. And hopefully to still have some energy after standing at the court the whole day. I'm bringing my lappie but not sure where I could get a WiFi (City Square is far from the school).

Ok....signing off now and will be back from JB on Friday night - straight to work.

Take care all...
Don't be naughty, ok

Al-fatihah

Right after solat last night, while saying my 'doa', I miss Habibi so much. I miss hearing his voice reading Al-fatihah and in my head I was planning to ask him to recite it when we talk later in the night. About 30mnts after that, we were on YM voice and were talking and catching up on the day's happening when my phone rang.

It was Mama. She called to inform Ayoh Sop had passed away about 1/2 hour ago. I was shocked as me and her were just discussing about his condition during lunch earlier. After hanging up , I told Habibi the news. Immediately, he said let's recite Al-Fatihah for him and pray that his soul is placed with the rests in heaven.

And he recited Al-Fatihah . His voice was loud and clear on YM.
I was sad and also surprised. Not only because of the passing of my uncle but it was like a 6th sense earlier - something is going to happen.

I read somewhere, sometimes we do have this small voices in our head telling us about things that is going to happen, but we tend to ignore it.

Some things are just left unexplained.

Our little 'Bali' dancer

Listen to the background music carefully and look at how she move her hips, head and hands.

She's turning 2 this January and knows when to stop, count the beat and start moving again!

I was trying really hard not to laugh while holding the camera.

p/s: I asked my sister, "Didn't you go to Bali for your honeymoon?" She just kept quiet. Hehehe...

Happy Birthday Sofia!

I was invited to a birthday party of a 12 year old girl. Well, I can't remember celebrating my birthday party when I was 12.
Even the plate looks really nice. Sayang rasa nak guna.
He made this dish. No lah....this is their cousin who 'coincidently' was around. He's flying off to Sheffield Sept next year to do his studies.
They were queuing up for food. The guests were all 'babes' from school. Unfortunately, the dudes didn't turn up.
Well, I wouldn't mind queuing too. They had lasagna. I think , I would be the 1st in the queue..hehhe.....Mind you, I've wrote earlier, K.Ana's lasagna is really, really good.
And they served chicken pie too. The chicken pie was also good. But I guess the lasagna was a hit!
Close up of the chicken pie. Makan dengan mushroom or brown sauce.Yummy...
He's the model for all the food. Sedap tau! Betul tak Que? This boy finished up almost 1/4 of the tray!
This was supposed to be a konyaku jelly. Unfortunately it didn't turn out well. The taste was good but I had to hold it in my palm.
This was the cake. Tiramisu to be specific. Sorry ye...but I still prefer Secret Recipe's Chocolate Indulgance....that is one superb cake.

Not to foget, we also had hot dogs. But I guess, because of the lasagna and chicken pie, and the invitees were all 'babes' , they didn't eat that much.Hmm....maybe they are at the age which controls everything they eat in order to look 'slim'. Takpe, wait a few years more...hehehe...

Anyways, Sofia, Happy 12th birthday. This is the final year of your 'primary school' . Hope you have a great year ahead and hope all your dreams come true!

Meeting of the 'Titans'

After dinner with the girls, I headed to SS2 for another meet for supper. The main reason was to discuss about how to attend the wedding today in Bentong. (I know....I have less than a few hours to wear the saree...serammmm).

My colleagues just finished work and they haven't had dinner yet.

Rudy eating his favourite roti hawaii. It has sausage, minced meat, cheese pineapple and other stuff in it.

Sam digging in Rudy's roti hawaii.

Look at the spaghetti meatballs. The meatballs are as big as the snooker balls. Really huge. Sam couldn't even finish it up.

He was shocked with the size and really love it.

Hehehe.....

Then this guy came to sell the 'goresan bertuah' ticket. Sam thought he could make extra bucks last night.
Unfortunately...no. All the 3 tickets.

Oh...and the "Blended special' drink was really good too. Look at his expression...

This one was the Ribena blended drink. Just imagine if we were to surf the drinks like this at home....in a bottle.

And this is the Mee Raja which Kavi ordered. Also good. Next time, we need to be more adventurous and order something else.

And we have decided, we would come to this place , at least once a week.

Girls just wanna have fun

What do you get when 5 (konon nya 23 yr old) girls go out on a romatic dinner (with candles and no other lights except the street lights are considered romantic, ok) ?

The candle - it looks really nice. Then someone 'played' with it throughout dinner by poking it with a fork!

Me and Jazz - I didn't know the place is really nice. And as usual - I was the most underdressed. Hmm...I usually never care. Btw, I got Jazz seating beside me. Oh...people out there - she's available and looking....

The other 3 girls - sebok gossiping and sharing experiences. Some of them just met and becerita as if dah lama kenal!

We love good food. And the food here was really good. We tried the Salmon.

And also the lamb.... It was succulent and juicy.

Jazz ordered this seafood pizza. Sedap giler tau!

And I ordered this Club sandwich. Power!

All of us then, sebulat suara decided to have this banana and peach crumble. They didn't have apple so we had to settle for this. Siap mintak 2 scoop ice cream tu. Macam mana lah nak diet.

We stayed until about 11.15pm coz I had to leave to join another group from office to discuss about the wedding that we need to attend tomorrow. We really had fun. Thank you girls! Can't wait for the next meet!

I was harrassed....again

So, off I went, as promised, to collect my 'choli'. Well, first kenalah try dulu. And I guess and I respect the indians, they are just used to it, while trying the new 'choli' the tailor will help. As for me.....I told her I want to do it on my own and oh boy...I struggled with it. And still failed as I didn't know how to put on the 'hooks'. Hehehehe.....terrible.

So, dengan malunya, I had to call her in. Rupanya, the hooks have no 'partner'. I just need to hook it into the small little 'area' that were specially sewn on the blouse itself. Manalah aku tau. First time maaa....

It fit perfectly on me. No need to do any alteration at all. Not bad. So, now, I'm planning to tailor a 'punjabi suit' next. Or maybe the top only.

I'll post the picture of my 'choli' later tonight .Oh god!!! I'm getting more and more nervous now. This afternoon, I got to go and collect my saree at the dry cleaning shop.

And I have to write this here;

"Currently it is 1.20pm, 22/11 . I'm writing this post and at the same time checking and updating my Facebook account from Starbucks KL Sentral. And I'm only starting work at 3pm - that is 1 hour 40mnts from now"

Gotcha!!

p/s: I feel soooooooooo demotivated like now.

I was harrassed!

This Saturday, my best friend in my office is getting married. She is a lovely, nice, friendly and loving indian girl from Bentong. We got really close when we went for on the our job training in the UK ,we were placed in the same apartment.

Basically - we are like sisters. We went thru the same life experiences, we have the same number of siblings, we love food and desserts (especially donuts) , our taste are almost the same..etc... Since she does not have any sister, so I'm kind of like her sister. And for her coming wedding, she had bought me a saree to wear.

Yes, she bought it all the way from India. Its a really nice and simple saree with not too much embroidery and glitter things -which I love. Well, I know that she's really excited and looking forward to her wedding day. But she said , she's more excited of seeing me in the saree.
Not only her, but all my colleagues. Arrghhhh.. Some of them even advised me how to wear and hold the saree. Some of them reminded me, once I wear the saree, I must behave and walk like a true lady. No more walking like a basketballer. And they said I need all the accessories. What is this? Miss Universe grooming class ?

Dang! I am nervous now.

The first step was to make the saree blouse or they call it 'choli'. Yes, that's right. Coli to us is bra..but this is the blouse. So, off I went with another colleague, Kav1ta, to Leboh Ampang before work yesterday. I've been to chinese and malay tailors numerous times but never been to an Indian one especially to sew a 'choli'.Oh God! I felt I was harrassed. The first thing she did was to adjust my 'baju dalam'. Then the way she took the measurements was....I don't know what word could describe it.She practically measured every inch of my upper body. Yes, every inch means top to bottom. Left to right. Every single curves and 'humps'. Top of the mountain to the other top of the mountain. She said it must fit me perfectly. Oh gosh! Seriously - I felt I was harrased. Thank god it was a lady. Maluuuuu...

When it comes to the length of the blouse, me and my friend were quarelling of how 'long' it should be. I want it longer so that my '6 packs' will not be revealed (perasan sat)but she asked it to do shorter as she said it will look really good on me coz I'm tall. Well, I still have to wear my headscarf (which I have not figure it out yet) so, tak boleh lah. Nanti habibi marah nampak perut....hehehe...

So, in the end we decided and the blouse will be ready tomorrow afternoon.

After that, we went for lunch at one of the indian restaurant and had banana leaf rice. The food was really good, and it was only RM13.50 for a good lunch for both of us! That was really cheap.

And here, are some pics of my trip to Little India.

They've got hundreds kind of designs...you can even design your own.
Look how small the lady is. I was nervous.
I asked her 1001 questions.
This was our lunch. The food was really good and cheap.
'Rassam' - somebody told me once if you drink a cup a day of this, you could loose some weight.
I really felt like a tourist yesterday.
And something happened at night after work which made me really stress and felt like eating. So, off we went, a few of us to Murni SS2. I haven't been there for ages. That was my fave restaurant when I worked with Max1s earlier. And I didn't know they had all kinds of food: good and cheap .
My colleague ordered this. Its roti Hawaii. It has vege and misnce meat, sausage and cheese inside.
And this - the 'blended special' with lychee and all sorts of things inside. Hmmm....what if I serve my guests at home using this kind of bottle? Sure nampak rude, kan?

I had this. Yes....the yummy spaghetti carbonara. It sure was creamy and sinful. Especially when you eat i at 12 midnight and under stress and anger towards something. It sure helps to reduce the stress!

I thought I couldn't finish it as the portion was really big. But my mom taught me to finish up my everytime I eat...so this was the end result.
The bill? 1 teh tarik, 1 hot milo, 1 roti hawaii and 1 spaghetti carbonara = RM16.50.
I will definitely come here again!!!
I got to leave now as I need to go back to the tailor to get my blouse - it seems that I need to do some 'fitting' as it must be perfect on my body. Argghhhh...another round of harrassment!

p/s: coincidently Habibi is also in India.

An outing with the kids

Today, without any planning, I went with K.Ana and the kids. Who else if its not Adik, Abang and Am. For me, it was Adik's treat as she got 5As for her UPSR. Kesian dia, a lot of people including me were surprised when she got the results. I guess, she's one of the genius - less study but still can score.

So, today we went out to have lunch at Ikea and donuts for desserts. I told them earlier that the donut was good (I should get some royalties from BA). So, 5 of us had the salmon dish, fish and chips, roast chicken and not forgetting 12 donuts. At first their mother was afraid that the children will not be able to finish up - but hey! They are growing up, so they can eat and eat.

So here are some photos taken after we gobbled up everything.

Abang and Am - Am is the MVP for MCKK under 15 tourney which was held recently. He would be a great player in the next 2 years.Abang also will be an excellent player.

Me, Adik and Abang. Si Adik ni memang kuat posing and Abang is charming and good looking. Just imagine him 15 years from now - he would be a charming OB. Jazz would definitely agree with me...hehehe. Hopefully Adik would be a lovely Srikandi.
Ha...Adik and Abang control macho and sweet in the pic. Before and after...lain cerita.
Me and adik. This is the girl I always 'baby-sit' when her parents are not around. Not easy, ok!

Me, the children and their mom. Sempat lagi tu posing lepas makan. Thanks to Am , we got this photo.

Sunday, November 18

P.S. I love you? Yes, definitely.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

I found out something.
Something that makes my heart beats fast.
Something that I look forward to.
Something that will make me laugh and cry....remembering those days.

P.S. I love you the movie is coming soon.

I have to watch this.Must.
Even if I know it will make me cry.

p/s: It reminded me of what I wrote about the book after reading it.

Macam-macam ada

I saw an Ad on TV which was about 2 primary school girls and friendship. The question raised to them was "Siapa nama kawan baik awak?". And one of the girl answered"Nama kawan baik saya Marion". The next question was,"Kalau ada budak lelaki kacau kawan baik awak, apa awak nak buat?" Then the girl made all these ninja and karate moves konon2 macam nak lawan the boys who disturbed her bestfriend.
That ad reminded me exactly of my primary school days.
Yes, I would do the same thing to the boys who disturb my best friends.

********************************************************************************

On Nona today, they were showing kids are sent to cooking classes by their parents. Children as young as 9-12 years old. And they also showed this girl who invited friends to her house and she made strawberry flavoured pop corn for her guests. She used the traditional way of making pop corn by using the frying pan.

Me? hehehe....I only make pop corns using microwave in the original packaging.

********************************************************************************

Jazz wrote this 'the longer you live' the weirder life gets.
She's having 'bloggers' block.
I don't know but I think it is true, the older we get the weirder we behave.
Maybe not weird. Maybe its just us - to save all the hassel and avoid headaches.
For me, I started blogging because I didn't have anybody to talk to.
And I will just write, write and write as if I'm talking to a person who would never say anyting negative back
Yes - sometimes, even some of my close friends do not understand how I feel, what I believe in. And no point of telling them the details and later feeling not satisfied as nobody supports me.
In the end, I'll come back to my 'loyal' blog.
And until now I'm still the same person who will 'talk' to my blog.
Even though I'm hibernating myself from meeting my friends.

*****************************************************************************

Today is my off day.At last.
And I stayed in my comfy bed until late afternoon.
I could do that for the next 24 hours.
Unfortunately, got to work again tomorrow.

*****************************************************************************

Habibi is in India for the next 2 weeks.
He's busier than usual during the day but has more time to talk at night.
I miss him....as usual

Srikandi Belated Raya Tea-Party

Today, I worked morning shift because there wa an invitation for a Raya open house / get-together......the 1st open house for me actually. (kesian kan? dah habis raya baru kena jemput)

Anyways, the venue was out of my usual 'area' but it didn't stop me from going. The house is beautiful, with 'dragons' loyal guarding the house and a big area with swimming pools for kids or even adults to enjoy themselves.

It was a 'pot-luck' event. By the time I reached there with K. Ana with Bibik's roti jala, it was already 4.20pm and there were so many cars. We were shocked as the turn out was really, really good. With Srikandis from different batches, nobody seemed to have any problem mingling and getting to know each other.

The food - I didn't manage to get any pics but trust me, the tables were full of different kind of dishes. Not only it looked good, but it taste good too. I think everybody showed their 'cooking' skills. I'm not sure what the rest of my batchmate brought but DNAS brought her cute cupcakes and Hana brought laksa penang. Well, I didn't know who brought it but I went for the Carrot Walnut cake slice twice!! (my fave). I also love the pasta and lemang with rendang daging. There were nasi dagang and I heard a few people were saying that it's really good, unfortunately I didn't feel like eating rice.

The most famous dish towards end of the day was 'Nasi Lemuni' or some people called it 'Nasi Lamborghini'. Its made with the daun lemuni as the main ingredient and seems to be proven for awet muda purposes. What I heard was its good for us , ladies, to eat it every 40 days once - its a bit heaty though. I have to agree as the kakak who recommended it was from batch SPM 64 and she still looked young and energetic! While a few of my batch mates packed the rice with the kakak's help, she turned and told me ," oh...awak tak payah ambik. Awak muda lagi!" Hehehe....

More pics can be seen here

Missing piece

Habibi, I just want to tell you that a piece of me is missing.
When are you coming back to fill in the 'spot'?

Thursday, November 15

Another year has passed!

Hmmm....I just remembered....
Today is my 2nd year anniversary working in this company.

Happy anniversary to myself!!!

The new feeling

Yesterday, I planned to have lunch with some friends. Unfortunately, none of them turned up. I was alone until I managed to get another friend to join me. Thank god she was free.

And today I had a brunch appointment with another friend. Thank god she never 'FFK' . We discussed about our 'project' and she was also to help me figure out what's wrong with my lappie as I can't connect it to the internet.

And alhamdulillah, she managed to do something, and here I am updating my first blog entry from one of the coffee chain. Well, its considered as an investment to ensure my toy works ;-(
And I had this too. Its the Toffee Nut latte - excellent. Not too sweet. So, there goes my expenses for this week. I can't go any out anymore as I've used up the week's budget. (but I could feel this 'lepaking' at the coffee chain and surfing is sooooo addictive as I've always love to lepak and enjoy the ambience)

And tomorrow , I have another lunch appointment with K.Ana and family. Sofia got 5A for her UPSR. Congrats Sofia!!! You made it. See you in STF soon!!!
