A night in Sepang

Venue: Pan Pac KLIA and KLI Airport, Sepang
Time: 7pm-11pm

Had a buka puasa session with my boss and my partner in crime. Why there of all places in Sepang? Well, my boss was craving to have the buffet spread while for me dates and a cup of hot milo is more than enough. And she was definitely shocked to find out the price. It was RM90 per pax!! Is just ridiculous! With RM90 I could buy lots of things with it!! No way jose.Especially when I can't eat at all:-(

So, we decided buffet for her and ala-carte for us.Hehehe...

We adjourned the session to the couch afterwards....

And after that, I walked to KLIA to send my sist in-law and Khadijah off. They were returning to the UK.

Bye Khadijah. The next time is see you, you will be a big girl by then.

I wish I could eat....

Today is Thursday, the 4th day we are fasting, and my 3rd day fasting while working on a normal shift 8.30am-5.00pm. And I have yet to get used to this timing as the previous years, on Ramadhan, I usually work 3pm-11pm ; which is such a honeymoon during fasting month;-)

Now, by the time I reach home, its already 6.15pm (the earliest), and I would be really tired and sleepy which for the past 2 days I fell asleep on the sofa just before berbuka! I also fell asleep while driving on the way back today:-(
And reaching home at 6.15pm also just destroy my mood to drop by at any Pasar Ramadhan to tapau for berbuka.(with the bad traffic, no way I'm going to drop by and get myself stuck in there)

So, what did I have for the past few days?

Berbuka - dates (which Habibi brought during his last visit vacuum packed and I purposely kept it for Ramadhan), and 2 slices of Toast'em rasin oatmeal bread. Once I tried having soya bean drink, my whole isi perut feels like coming out. My throat just rejected it.

Bersahur - dates (again), a bowl of muesli with milk, coffee and warm water.

I wish I could eat more.
I wish I could enjoy some of the good food that is sold at Pasar Ramadhan.
I wish I could eat without having this nausea feeling.

I just hope there is a blessing in disguise all this is happening and not because I am sick.

And no...I have not lost any kgs yet, ok!!

When one kitchen closes, the other opens...

Our Ayah and Mak (SD and Jazz ) has officially moved to JB. And today, myself and Dalie felt a little bit lost as we didn't know where to eat. (Usually it will be Jazz's place and Jazz always cook excellent dishes).

So we planned to go and have dinner in Genting. When we called up the owner to inform on our late arrival, he said he's going to close early as tomorrow is a PH. So, we got frustrated and decided to just roam around Wangsa Maju area.(Dalie was craving for steambot). So off we went. After about 20mnts, we came across and decided to try it out.

In total, for only about RM25 per person, we had all this:

Our dessert - free flow
Sekejap ada, sekejap takde!

The place opens till 2am daily. And I got frustrated when Dalie and Renek said we had to leave.

Good food at a great price. Now everyone can have seafood steambot buffet!

I fell in love again...

This morning I had another swimming session. I'm impressed with myself now coz I can float! (self motivation konon....) . Tomorrow there's another session. Can't wait for it.

Then I headed to IKANO.
Had brunch in Starbucks. Its been a while since my last visit. One, because I don't have the time anymore, two, because the budget for visiting Starbucks has been chopped of from my monthly expenses. (last time mewah, buat OT giler2).
The service there, it has never failed my expectations. Those guys are always friendly and cool. The food - Triple Decker Sandwich was really great .Love everything there.

After that, I went to IKEA, as planned earlier. From a reliable source, once this SALE ends tomorrow, there will be a price increase of about 30%. Got to get the things for my crib.

Suddenly, I saw him. The prince. The good looking prince.
And I fell in love with him instantly. I offered him to come home with me. He said ok.
And he said, from now onwards, he promise to be with me all the time.

My new prince.
I love you my frog prince!!

Birthday celebration yang terlampau

That was what my friends said to me. Mana taknya, usually when people celebrate their birthdays, they'll get loads of presents. I only got 2 presents, both from my colleagues...

But I had 3 birthday cakes for me!!! Never, ever, ever on any of my birthdays for the past 33 years have I ever had 3 cakes!

This cake was from my niece Dhiya Sarah.

And these 2 cakes were from the gang.

Not only that, this time it was crazy. It was more like a 24hours celebration. Had a steamboat dinner yesterday night at Gohtong Jaya (somewhere near to Genting), and after midnight continued with karaoke and supper session till 5am. Then I had lunch and did some birthday gifts shopping for myself at One U today. Had a small session with my sister's family in the afternoon. Continued with seafood dinner at TTDI in the evening. And the crazy part...was to drive up again to Gohtong Jaya for coffee and dessert.

To Dalie & Renek, Jazz & SD (and Fazira), Normi and cousin, Rina, Komar & partner and not forgetting GemGem and Hana, thank you very much for everything. You guys are great!

It is definitely the craziest birthday ever for me!

Food and friends - always make me smile

I had a great day today.

It started off with a 1 hour swimming class which made my legs numb. Mind you, 1 hour class with Major is not easy. This is my 3rd out of 12 classes with him. He asked us to wear the weights that is used for diving so that our legs work harder to make sure that we stay afloat. I had to wear 3 weights which is about 3kgs. And he made us swim as fast as we can from one end to the other. I was sweating as if I was working out in a gym!

After the class, I felt good. Really good. I'm thinking of, maybe after I complete all 12 classes, I'm thinking of continuing another 12 as I think he's training is as good as a personal trainer in the gym. But instead in the gym, it will be in the water ;-) And its much, much, much cheaper then you pay for a gym membership and get a personal trainer.

Later I had lunch at Jazz's place. This time the menu was soto - yummy. 2 mangkuk aku bantai. At about 2.30pm, we decided to go to Sunway Pyramid. Well, that was not the actual plan tapi malas nak cerita panjang, so we ended up jalan-jalan cari makan (yes, right after lunch!) at Pyramid. Jazz said she was still hungry after eating her own homemade, delicious soto. (mengidam kot minah ni...)

So, after walking around and 'window shopping' on food/restaurants, we ended up in Tony Roma's. (somebody yang tak tau kenyang said dia mengidam the ribs).

We had a good ...2nd round lunch/tea/early dinner - whichever you want to call it.

Thanks guys for the great time. You guys never fail to make me smile.

WHY my life is interesting...

Early in the morning at 7.30am, as I entered the lift to go down to my car, I saw the lady's zipper was not done. Still feeling numb and sleepy, I just said, " Miss, you tak zip seluar lah."
She didn't even lift up her face till the lift door opened and she walked out.

*************************************************

My partner in crime at work has not been talking to me since yesterday morning - which is not his usual. I suspected he was upset with something.
I don't really care as I know I didn't do anything wrong. For me, if anybody wants me to play in their game, make sure they can do vice versa.
But some other people has been talking about us.

To clear the air off, I called him during break , and when he came near me, I gave him a hug and ask, "Are you ok?"
He replied, " Yes. Why? Are you ok?" He was surprised with the hug.
I said, " I'm ok. I heard rumours people are saying that you are not ok. And it seems that people say that we are fighting. I just want to clear the air". (I know eyes were looking at us)

He laughed and replied, " F&*% off!"

****************************************************

Before invigilating an exam this morning, as I was walking beside a student, I heard he called me "Miss Spena" and smiled.
Hmm.....very interesting when we have Facebook. The name I use since I was in Form 3 sounds weird when it was called out by a much younger generation.
Especially by my student.
Just feels like going back to school.

*********************************************
It feels weird but it is the truth and nothing but the truth.
I put up Derek Sheperd's pic as my desktop background in the office.
Everytime I look at him, my heart 'cair'.
Nak marah kat orang pun tak jadi.

*********************************************

A handsome 20 year old student asked me, " Miss, can I follow you back home?"

Kids nowadays.....

*********************************************
Planned to watch SEPI at Alamanda; the 7.20pm show. Left office at 6.15pm and till 7.15pm I still couldn't find where Alamanda is. Cis.

Tried to cool down myself, I took these pics.

3 times being there, still couldn't find my way, is a bit too much to take. To cool down, I went to Jusco IOI instead.

And had loads of salmon for dinner.

Have been craving for it since last month.

I don't need a man...

Currently, I just need this.
And this is not the only container in my freezer......

When I thought what happened in the morning was the worst....

Today, I started off really early. No, I'm not on shift work but due to work 'requirements' needed to be at LCCT at 5am. Unfortunately things did not turn out as we planned it to be. Not able to reveal here but it was a VERY bad experience. I felt my legs were trembling. My heart just stopped beating. All because of the unexpected incident.

After that, at 9am I had to act as if nothing happened and went on with my class as usual. Thank god the students were fun to be with.

What else could turn out bad? When I thought the rest of the day should be better, I WAS WRONG. I reached home at about 7(as usual) and noticed that my freezer door was not closed properly. Oh Noooooooo!!!!

So, this was what I was forced to have for dinner:

Fish.........and
lamb.I just bought these yesterday to last till next week. Since both are thawed and soft, I had to cook it. No choice. And I had only black pepper, garlic and salt in my 'incomplete' kitchen. Both with the same marinate, I put them in together, at the same time, in the oven - just different containers. Just too lazy to think anymore.

Tired. Frustrated. Angry.
Especially when 1 1/2 tub of my ice-cream is gone!
Sob....sob.....

I better drink that Coke to calm myself down.

Friday, June 13

Nasi daun pisang dan langit biru.

I learned a new word today - "stargazing". Was really surprise of the meaning. But that's not what I want to talk about.

Lunch time, a colleague belanja me lunch.

Sekejap ada...

Sekejap tak de.....licin tu. The food was good, as usual.

And. as I love the sky so much, I got this pic before I came up to the apartment. It was just after maghrib and the sky was so blue. Really blue. Reminded me of a trip to Wales earlier for camping.

Cantikkan warna biru langit tu? I just love it.

Dinner date with Spencer, partner and Laksa

Today, I taught a new class. A new topic. Alhamdulillah, despite of the small hiccups yesterday and this morning, everything went well.

As I was going back, managed to stop by at my favourite place to watch an aircraft landed. It was great.

Got to learn how to take pics better. Wanted to take the aircratftonly, but the tiang lampus are also in.
Then I went to One U right after work. I was hungry and craving for Laksa Johor, so I went to Laksa S'ack. Its been a while since I last went there. The place was empty.

It was really empty at 9pm.Really.Empty. I was the only customer. Since I was craving for their Laksa johor, I just didn't care.
I had dinner with Mark and his partner Spencer...hehehehe

Because they are having a BIG SALE in their shops. It starts today! This was the 1st time ever I went to their sale on the 1st day. Honestly - NOT GOOD!! I mean not good for your pocket. I burst my budget for this coming few months!

This is the look of the otak-otak served together with the Laksa.Got corak you know.....

And this was the laksa I had. Sedap giler...
