Here in my home

I love this song. 1st time listening to it, I didn't think it was made locally. Really good.

The best part - my big boss also participated in making the video. He's the man!

Almost perfect!

This morning, the sky was really beautiful. It just took my breath away. I've always love looking at the sky and the clouds especially when driving . Do not do it without parental guidance ;-)

Hmmm.....what else happened?

Santa arrived early this year. I also got a gift from a colleague. It was definitely a surprise and it was wrapped really nice :-)

I'm loving every minute of my life. (with Habibi around it would be perfect. But there's no 'perfect life' and we all know it)

And to complete my day today, I went to the gym. Well, planned to go to the gym, unfortunately it was closed. In the end, I brisk walked from my condo to the nearest shops which was about 30mnts away. I guess that is good enough to replace the gym exercises.

We are the Champion - again!!

Alhamdulillah, the Dynamites has managed to retain the title as the Champion for this year's PPM.

Some of the results from Hana:

STF vs SMS Hulu Selangor 60-10
STF vs SMS Kuching 59-30
STF vs SAINA 66-4
STF vs SMTFP 66-14

Semi : STF vs SSP 41-14
Final : STF vs SMESH 46-16

No pictures yet as I couldn't join them due to work commitments. Will need to wait for the pics from K.Ana soon.

I might be seen as ignoring the girls for the past 1 month however it was not easy at all for me to do that (forced myself to do that). I managed to block myself from feeling disappointed as I was not able to attend this year's PPM. However the maximum point was my tears dropped when the girls called me 2 hours before their final game today and also when I heard them sang "Gemuruh" over the phone, all the way from Kedah. I had the confidence they could win. Its just that it was sad as I was not able to watch the F5 play for the final time before they retire.

To all Srikandis who has contributed to the success of this team ; whether its financial or non-financial, THANK YOU is all I could say.

THANK YOU also from the bottom of my heart to the panel of coaches - Mr Liew, Coach Halim and Abg Ise on their time and energy.

And thank you for the Srikandas who has supported their Srikandis to provide full support for the Dynamites.

A very special THANK YOU to K.Ana - without you, the R2V project will not be a success.

I'm THREE!!

I started writing this blog in 2005 because I was away in the UK for 3 months from the 'EX' whom I planned to celebrate our 10th year wedding anniversary in 2007. I was missing him a lot and was thinking that the best way for me to update him about things in detail is thru this medium.

However, 'things' happened which crushed my heart and the whole plan. A situation which almost made me insane. The lucky thing is, even though I 'lost' my ex, I still have this blog. At times, when friends are not able to help and be around, for example at 3am, this loyal blog accompanied me, without fail. I think, if it can really 'talk', it might have complaint that 'it' had to listen to all my sad stories.

This blog helps me to go through the tough times. It has helped me not to become crazy. It has also helped me to get to know new friends. When I 'hibernate' , I would read it from day one to remind me of the good and bad old days. It acts like a 'video camera' without the picture for me. It is just so amazing to read all the things that was written , and what I've gone thru in this 3 years.

Personally, there's about 10% of my life which I can't write here until the suitable time arrives. ( I hope so). Other than that, it is definitely my 'diary'.

I hope , to keep writing this ,insya Allah.

Happy 3rd birthday to my blog.

Yes!! We did it again!

After screaming and shouting and cheering in the hot sun for the past 2 days, I am too exhausted to write ( I guess age is catching up..hehehe..). So I guess, some pictures of the event will be the best replacement temporarily - until I have the energy and time to write.

I'm a millionaire...

Hehehe...at last, I got my so-called 'new' phone. Yes!! Yes!! Tak sia-sia tunggu for almost 3 weeks for it to be 'unlocked'. This will definitely make me busy for the next few days. Got to get Alan to help me set my GPRS, MMS and email settings on the phone. I love it. A million thanks to my bro for it.

Makcik kayo! Makcik kayo! hhehehe....Just got some deno for Indon rupiah. And why do I need to do that? You are right! I am going to Jakarta tomorrow till Sunday. Yes! At last the 'free' AA ticket which I got months ago will be utilised over the weekend. Alhamdulillah, a dream has come true.

So ladies and gentlemen, please behave over the weekend when I'm not in town.

Jakarta, here I come.

A very dear friend

It was a pleasant surprise when a good friend called this morning. He was one of the guy who would call me at 4am or 5am and sing Kau Ilhamku by Man Bai, 2 years ago.

He was one also the person who gave me list of advise when I had issues with my marriage 3 years ago. He was the one who taught me how to make sushi (which my friends loveeeee) and other japanese cooking.

I guess, we have this special bond even if we don't call each other that often, around 3 or 4 months once, we know that we will be there for each other. We will listen to each other and provide emotional support and advise.

Last Sunday, a week after my sushi class session at Jazz's place, I sms-ed him to inform that I made sushi , at last, after keeping the recipe I learnt from him for more than 2 years. I didn't get any reply - well everybody's busy nowadays, that's ok.

But this morning he called. Seems that he wanted to update me that his wife just gave birth to a new baby girl on last Sunday. Alhamdulillah. I'm hoping that everything would turn out better for him soon as he has been in a very bad situation for the past 1 year or so. Not his fault, but most times things happen when we don't expect and have plans . I wish I could help unfortunately we are too far away from each other.

Sam , my doa is always with you and your family and you know that I will always be there for you. Hearing from my brother that you dropped some tears upon telling him your suffering breaks my heart.
Be strong and hope everything will get better soon, Insya Allah.

p/s: It is not often that we meet somebody and just 'clicked' right away. Sam is one of the precious one.

Made in China....this time its original!

Majority of us know that Olympics is coming soon - venue will be in Beijing.

Well, this time, without any doubt, I got a gift from China . Originally made in China. Hehehe....Thanks to the couple; they gave me this.

Nicely packed. Maybe I should just keep it in the box and not use it. Sayang lah.

p/s: This reminds me of my trip to Germany a year before the World Cup and I didn't even buy anything from there! Dang!

The FAMILY

Just imagine we had this for our makan2 session yesterday. We invited close relatives for a simple doa selamat for lunch ; and later my brother and sister invited their friends after maghrib for dinner.
We also took a break in the middle of the 2 sessions and went to another relative's house just about 5 mnts drive away.
My brother is leaving again soon, so this is the best time to lepak together as a family.Only once in a few years we get to lepak as a whole family like this. With the whole family around and good food, it was PERFECT.

The 'V' day is here

I received an sms in the middle of the night,

" My dear wife, Happy Valentine's Day. Love you."

Ah...I love you too. How sweet. He remembers.

Suddenly, I heard the alarm went off.
Arghhh!! It is a dream again! How I wish it was true.....

To all the married people out there ; IF you want to celebrate this particular day, please, please, please do it with your family or wife. Not your girl friends or boyfriends.

My very own sushi

Saturday, May 21st 2005, was my first posting about japanese food and sushi. That was when I learnt how to make sushi, sashimi and tempura at Skinny Sumo Restaurant in Nottingham which I have written here.

Today, after about 2 years and 8 months, I start making sushi again. Thanks to the support given by Jazz, Hana and Dalie - even though they have not tried my sushi yet, they 'trusted' it would taste ok. I was so afraid it would turn out bad.

Alhamdulillah, after a crash course on sushi 'rolling' to Hana, this was what was prepared with a big help from her, who's an expert in rolling the 'maki' by now. She's also kind of 'creative' in creating the different filling and tastes.

Then Hana also prepared her famous Konyaku jelly.

So, this time round, at last, we managed to have a more 'healthier' food for the gals. No lamb.No beef. No cheese.Only sushi, vege tempura and konyaku jelly.

FB and its magic.

An 'old' friend of mine , who was my ex-classmate and school mate when we were in the primary school ,posted this pic on his FB page and tagged me into it. This pic was taken when we were in Standard 2 with Cikgu Latifah (not sure whether she is still around).
And last night, with a sprained shoulder ,I met my this guy for supper after not meeting him since 1987 - that's a very long 20 years.

Maybe I should do more of this 'jejak kasih'.

Well, this is one of the wonders what Facebook can do for us.

He is back! They are back!

Yes! My brother is back for holidays after 2 1/2 years. He and his family is here for a good 4 weeks holidays until the 20th of Feb. And from the day they touched down until now, I only managed to steal sometime after work at midnight to see them 2 days ago and for lunch yesterday. Can't even say when we are meeting again as he is spending his time with his in laws till next week kot.

My bro holding the latest addition to the family, Khadija Tasneem (not sure of the spelling...) A very good girl. Can only hear her voice when she's hungry.Even when she is sleeping, her brother can shout and scream, and she can just continue sleeping as if nothing is happening around her (just like her auntie ....hehehe).

Meet Ammar Kareem again. This is taken when he was in a very good mood. Insist of having his pic taken with 'JAZZ' , one of his TRANSFORMERS car thingy.

And here he said, "auntie, come and take my photo please"....So this is his special pose, smiling away with his t-shirt which says 'MY FAVORITE CLASS IS LUNCH' .....(sounds like my fave class too). He is soooo adorable with the cheeky smile.

And this is his sister, sound asleep. Can't wait to see her walking, running and smiling like her brother!

And what do you get when your brother is back for only 4 weeks holidays, once in 2 -3 years time? I'll write about it in another post.

This coming 4 weeks will be very interesting and hectic for me as other than work and basketball, I definitely will reserve time to spend with him and his family.

I wish I am still 18

I really, really, really wish I was 15 years younger. I have never actually felt like this before, or wish something like this. But last Saturday, I wish I am still 18.

WHY? Well, my girls was trained by the Singapore National Basketball Women's team coach for 1 day. Yes!! You read it right! The Singapore National coach! Arrghhh!! Why now only I get the chance to meet this guy? I felt sooooo jealous. First, they are already training under Mr Liew, who was in-charged of the Malaysian team. And now, they had the opportunity to train under another great coach.

The worst part is - Mr Loh, the coach, said he still remembers me the last time he saw me playing 15 years ago. I feel so honored, so lucky to meet him now. But a part of me is sad, thinking why now only I get the chance to meet him.

Well, I guess that at least, now, I am still lucky that I have the chance to meet this great people, great coaches, sit down and have a chat with them. That reminds me, 2 years ago, I had the chance to meet Mr Tan S*e Wah, the current Malaysian Women's basketball team coach. I still have his number and I'm always welcome to go and watch them train.
I am lucky....I know. The above pics are my great coaches now - Mr Liew, Mr Loh and Mr Seah (who is already 70++ and still playing for Malaysian veteran!)

It's just that...I still wish that I was 15 years younger and fitter. If I had known these great coaches earlier, maybe, maybe I have played for Malaysia.....(hehehe...berangan jap).

And thanks to Sir, I have this chance now to personally shake the hands of this great coaches.

And last Saturday's experience - made me totally forgot the problems that I'm having at work. Not totally, but most of it. Alhamdulillah.

I love shoes

Majority of us, women, love shoes. Yes, we tend to get carried away buying shoes. Different colour for different dress or attire. Different comfortability for different functions. Different height (for the heels) for different guys that we need to meet (kan Jazz?) All sorts of excuses to get a new pair of shoes, each time.

That includes me. I love shoes too. How hard I try to deny that I am different from the other women, I still fall in the same category - women who love shoes. Maybe for others, they would want to get beautiful, nice shoes/sandals/pumps/flats for their wardrobe match. But not for me. My priority will always be for the comfortability of my feet. As I have written here, I have a 'sasquatch' kind of feet. Its not easy to get ladies shoes which is really comfy.

So, my collection of shoes are these kind:

And I just added a new pair to the collection last week. The really comfy Nike Free 7.0

The timberland was from my brother, the adidas basketball was a gift from my singapore cousins, the other adidas was from the factory outlet store, the LeBron basketball shoes was from a clearance sale in JB and the last pair I got it from Poh Chy*'s shop at a very special price. There are 2 more pairs of basketball and sport shoes which were in my car at the time of taking these pics.
I know I am crazy.
Argghh.....I better not buy any more sports shoes this year.
